Ce mépris se concrétise par une insuffisance préoccupante de moyens, une faiblesse de l’engagement des entreprises et une médiatisation très déséquilibrée en faveur du sport masculin. L’origine de ce paradoxe est évidemment culturelle et de nombreux observateurs y voient l’expression d’une misogynie encore très vivace.
